Seeking a Reiki Teacher When seeking a Reiki Master from whom to receive the Master training and attunement, it is important to know what to expect and you should be encouraged to ask. You want to be sure that you receive the complete training and be able to initiate others into all the degrees including full Reiki Master. Becoming a Reiki Master is a sacred and serious step that must be preceded by meditation and prerequisite training. One must first have received Reiki I and II training and attunements. It is wise to meditate on your life purpose as well as your intention and decide if becoming a Reiki Master is in harmony with it. Then, you must find a Reiki Master who is competent and with whom you feel rapport; one who will continue to support you after you become a Reiki Master. Being a Reiki Master implies that you will be able to initiate others into Reiki. Therefore, it is important to find a teacher who will spend time in class helping you practice the attunement process as some teachers spend little or no time in practice. Will your teacher provide support when you begin teaching your own classes? This is important. Some Reiki Masters will have little interest in helping you get started. You As
A Teacher
You'll need to practice the lectures and meditations before you begin leading a class. Make outlines of your talks and practice into a tape recorder. Listen to your tapes and take notes on ways you can improve. Practice until you are confident. Re-read your training manuals. When teaching, keep your intention pure, relax, and let the Reiki energy do the work. If you are sincere in your desire to help others, and prepare well to teach, you should easily attract students. Your attitude creates the results you receive; so assume a positive attitude of success and you will create success. As a Reiki Master, it is important to treat your students with the greatest respect. Never withhold information to cause your students to be dependent on you. Openly encourage each student to be connected to his/her own power and freedom of choice. What you create for others comes back to you. As you truly empower others, so will you be empowered. Trust in the abundance of the universe and you will receive abundance and be blessed with peace and joy. Be an authentic representative of Reiki energy. Your students will want and need a real teacher who comes from experience and is working on his own deep healing. This requires continual effort to BE Reiki and to live the Principles as best you can. Surrender your ego to it. As a Reiki Master yours should be a constant process of working with all aspects of your BEing; allowing those aspects that are out of alignment with Reiki energy and principles to be healed by Reiki energy. is More Than Healing
You will soon realize that there is more to Reiki than healing yourself and/or others of specific problems. Reiki has a deeper purpose. In the same way that Reiki is able to guide healing energy when you are giving a treatment, Reiki can guide your life. By treating yourself and others, and meditating on the essence of Reiki, you will be guided more and more by Reiki in making important decisions. By trusting in the guidance of Reiki, by letting go of what your ego thinks, and by honoring Reiki's loving power, your life will change in ways that bring you inner peace. You will learn from experience that the guidance of Reiki is worthy of your trust. As you surrender to it, you enter the way of Reiki and you'll make peace with the past and have faith in the future.
