5b) Compose a few paragraphs
using ten of the words or phrases in the glossary. (It can be about why
you are interested in hypnosis or how you plan to utilize your training,
etc.)
1) Practice
every induction in your materials (book and appendix) as many times as
you can.
(with friends, family, colleagues, or in the mirror, etc.)
Write a paragraph or two about your experience with each induction procedure.
2) Obtain
or at least design business cards for yourself that include "Certified
Hypnotist".
(if you are not ready to purchase cards, design the layout). You
might want to check out www.vistaprint.com
3) Listen
Richard Harte's audio tape. Write a
brief synopsis.
4) Watch
the NGH video. Write a brief synopsis.
5) Watch
the Marketing video and Read the Mega Marketing manual. (The video
tape is of very poor technical quality)
Describe in writing how, when, and where you are going to make use of some
of the techniques.
6) Reread the ethical section at the back of the book.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO
KNOW THE NGH ETHICS AND STANDARDS OF PRACTICE!
7) Submit an audio tape
or CD of yourself doing one hypnotic induction with suggestions. (choose
from any of the inductions, include suggestions for change (weight, stress,
or smoking)
8) Organize scripts, inductions,
forms, etc. (create files, folders or loose leaf binders for materials
for each application for hypnosis)
9) Read the booklet, “Understanding Psychology” by John Hughes, and in your own words:
a) List and briefly describe the 6 therapists on page 8
b) List and briefly explain the kinds of 9 disorders on pages 10 through 15
c) List and briefly explain
the 9 therapeutic approaches on pages 15 through 21
10) Develop a preliminary business/marketing plan. Put it in writing and be prepared to discuss it in class.

State Parkway, the Northern Parkway to 45N or the Long Island Expressway
(LIE) to Exit 53N Sunken Meadow Parkway (North).
Take Sunken Meadow Parkway
North to Exit SM4W - Pulaski Road West.
Take Pulaski Road to the first
traffic light and turn right onto Bread & Cheese Hollow Road.
Take Bread & Cheese Hollow
Road two blocks to Rochelle Lane (turn right).
The office is located in the

toward the back where you will see a door marked 'Office'.

Turn right on to Larkfield
Road (traveling south) to the street light at Pulaski Road, turn left on
Pulaski Road and travel east for a few miles. Shortly after you pass
a big white sign that says "Richters Orchard" (it is on the left hand side
